Artist's Description
The Survivor is an almost dead pine tree that stands alone on an overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Many have captured the silent dignity of its passing years and wonder how long it will be there.
I like the contrasting darkness against the blues of the sky and mountains in the background.
About Stacie Siemsen
It is my hope that my Photography and art be inspirational and evoke feelings and thoughts. Many of my outdoor images were captured by spending many hours traveling, hiking and waiting for that perfect shot. I always say "Mother nature paints a pretty picture" and is a favorite subject so is more prevalent in my postings. My nature images make wonderful greeting cards, framed prints, canvas gifts for those on your gift-giving list. I have branched out into vector and more abstract and contemporary images in recent years.
